Whether online or offline, the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, has remained a valuable opportunity to showcase the advanced technologies of its worldwide participants.

At this year’s event, Haier Group, one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of white goods, or major household appliances, has promoted an intelligent washing machine installed with a voice identification system.

The washing machine can connect with Haier’s artificial intelligence loudspeaker boxes to “listen” to instructions. It can also link with a mobile phone app developed by the company to automatically monitor water quality and temperature while also controlling the laundry time.

During the fair, Haier for the first time has displayed its new results of creating a high-end and ecological brand to 12 countries through 24-hour live broadcasts. The company, together with GE Appliances in the United States, Fisher & Paykel in New Zealand, AQUA Japan and Candy in Italy, has delivered smart life solutions covering clothing, food and entertainment through the live broadcasts.

Haier has also held parallel broadcasts covering some of its major global factories located in India, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, attracting the participation of distributors from seven countries.

Another high-tech product presented at the fair is a series of acoustic boards brought by the Jiangsu Pivot New Decorative Materials.

“We have developed this new product together with the Institute of Acoustics at Shanghai’s Tongji University. It is pollution-free and has no environmental constraints, which is suitable for spaces with high demands on environmental quality and sanitary conditions,” said Ye Gang, the company’s spokesperson.
