Fashion week opens both online and offline

The spring edition of the 2021 Canton Fair Fashion Week, a sideline event of the 129th China Import and Export Fair, opened on April 16 at the Canton Fair Westin Hotel.

The event is hosted by the China Foreign Trade Center and Guangzhou bureau of commerce. It is organized by Canton Fair Product Design and Trade Promotion Center, or PDC.

Wen Zhongliang, deputy secretary-general of the Canton Fair and deputy chief of China Foreign Trade Center; Wu Weihua, deputy chief of Guangzhou bureau of commerce; and globally renowned fashion designer Ji Wenbo were present at the event.

Also participating in the event were consul-generals and trade representatives from Chile, Brazil, Venezuela, Cuba and France, as well as top designers from China and across the world.

Wen Zhongliang, Wu Weihua, Ji Wenbo and the consul-generals above-mentioned jointly kicked off the Fashion Week on April 16.

This session of the fashion week is a combination of online and offline events. The interactions among suppliers, designers and buyers are mostly held online.
