Trade delegations and authorities from across China are creating innovative measures to help companies further develop in the domestic market while securing their foreign trade.

E-commerce has become a key channel for foreign trade companies to reach domestic markets. 

The Guangdong trade delegation to the fair launched a series of online activities and platforms to help local companies to secure orders.

The online activities cover product promotion, policy briefings and livestreaming and marketing, which has helped a sizable number of companies to reach domestic customers.

The Hangzhou trade delegation has taken the lead in developing a digital foreign trade platform which aims to improve the foreign trade service.

By the end of August, 1,152 companies in the city had joined the platform. It helped local foreign trade companies to improve their capability in digital marketing, according to local officials.

Shanghai commerce authorities and trade associations have taken steps to learn about the foreign trade companies’ difficulties in developing in the domestic market and are committed to helping them expand domestic marketing channels, innovate service and supervision models and optimize operation mechanisms.

Last month, Tianjin held a three-day campaign to promote export products to domestic customers.

The campaign attracted more than 100 foreign trade enterprises to exhibit more than 1,000 kinds of high-quality products. The Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce has held a series of online exhibitions, some of which are specifically aimed at domestic markets, helping foreign trade companies expand sales channels through e-commerce platforms.
