CFTC Working Group Promotes Canton Fair in Greece

From Sept 9-11, China Foreign Trade Centre working group promoted Canton Fair in Athens Greece through meeting with chambers of commerce, industrial organizations and loyal Canton Fair buyers, organizing promotion conference and holding panel discussion with representatives of Greek enterprises.

The working group visited APSON Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility and  Hellenic Chinese Business Chamber. During the visit, Wen Zhongliang, Deputy Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre, introduced the main features of  Canton Fair: longest history, largest scale and strong specialization and said that it offers huge business opportunities. Moreover, he still introduced two cooperation programs, including Canton Fair Internet Promotion Campaign and Media Resources Exchange Program.

Anastasia Psomiadi, APSON Founder and Chairperson and Bletas Aphrodite, President of Hellenic Chinese Business Chamber warmly welcomed Deputy Director General Wen and the working group. APSON Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility is one of the few specialized agencies which can provide service programs for Greek enterprises, such as commercial suggestions, strategic planning and market evaluation. Ms Psomiadi said that Canton Fair is a member company of APSON Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility and is a safe and reliable platform for the trade exchanges with China. She will introduce Canton Fair to other member companies and actively promote Greece-China bilateral trade cooperation. Hellenic Chinese Business Chamber is the organization which facilitates economic, technological and cultural exchanges between the two countries and is an old friend of Canton Fair. On the aspect of joint promotion with Canton Fair, Psomiadi wishes a more substantial cooperation. The working group has reached cooperative intention with the two agencies on Canton Fair Internet Promotion Campaign and Media Resources Exchange Program.

The working group met with representatives of HOME STYLE

The working group visited and inspected loyal Canton Fair buyer HOME STYLE. It firstly attended the Fair in 1995 and has continued to participate in it since the 104th session. Wen further described the optimization of exhibiting goods and innovation of exhibiting companies. Furthermore, he further discussed about sourcing varieties, sourcing quantities and sourcing schedules and asked for suggestions about the section and phase plan from the company. Director Mr Baliouskas Sotirios was very satisfied with the service experience at the Fair. He said that the fair is a significant window for the continuous progress made in China. The products bought at Canton Fair boost the the development of the company.

The working group held panel discussion with representatives of member companies of Greece-China Economic, Trade, and Cultural Exchange Center. Those member companies mainly produce and sell healthy food and agricultural and sideline products. They eagerly hope to enter Chinese market through Canton Fair. The working group introduced in detail the phase settings and the attending requirements of International Pavilion.
