[Canton Fair Story] Zhang Weiqiang: Canton Fair Provides Enterprises with a Stage for Global Trade

“Twenty years ago, we started global trade at the stand of the Canton Fair,” said Zhang Weiqiang, General Manager of Guangdong Zhongyuan Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. (shortened as “Zhongyuan Innovation”) in an interview at the 125th Canton Fair.

“Exporting products and entering European and American markets is a difficult process. The quality and design concept of products are important ‘stepping stones’ to success,” said Zhang Weiqiang.

When talking about global branding, Zhang believes that innovation is the key. “First of all, we developed incubators on our own to attract more technical talents and teams and enhance the vitality of the brand and our products.Secondly, we joined hands with government departments to build an innovative technology industrial park, introduced new R&D institutions, and improved new technologies to form industrial agglomeration. Thirdly, we take root in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area to partner with technology companies in Hong Kong and Shenzhen and promote industrial mechanization and digitalization.”

Zhongyuan Innovation is mainly engaged in the R&D of intelligent electronic and electrical products and communication audio-visual equipment. Through transforming scientific and technological achievements by working with research facilities and institutions of higher learning at home and abroad, it has launched many innovative products equipped with new technologies such as the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.
