The 128th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, has helped many exhibitors to expand international markets and accelerate their transformations.

The State-owned brand exhibitor Guangdong Foreign Trade Import and Export Co has integrated its online and offline channels, helping enrich its product lineup and broaden its promotion channels.

“In the selection of exhibits, we focus on displaying hot-selling products that meet the needs during the pandemic period,” said an executive of the company. “The products received lots of attention and ranked the top of the list of inquired items.”

In the first six days of the Canton Fair, the company livestreamed 80,000 minutes, which attracted an audience of about 5,000 people.

Zhejiang Jiming Industrial Co also achieved improvements at the Canton Fair.

“Motorcycles are our main products and 90 percent of our motorcycles are exported to Southeast Asian countries,” said Pan Xiaohao, general manager assistant of the company. “At the last Canton Fair, we attracted a great number of visits and our turnover reached about $1 million.”

The company saw more opportunity in the online exhibition platform during this year’s Canton Fair. The online fair has brought new marketing models and growth points for the company.

Selling products via livestreaming has become a normal marketing model for Jiming, Pan said.

No exhibition fees were charged to companies or cross-border e-commerce platforms during the 128th Canton Fair. This gave many companies the confidence to expand their international markets.
