Household stationery and kitchen appliances manufacturers from Jiangsu province are attracting numerous overseas buyers at the ongoing 128th China Import and Export Fair online, as more people get used to working from home since the outbreak of COVID-19.

“This year, we have seen an increasing demand for our products, with the sales volume in the first three quarters increased by 20 percent year-on-year,” said a manager at Changzhou Shule Kitchen Utensils.

The company produces kitchen utensils such as noodle makers, vegetable cutters and biscuit machines, which are sold in overseas markets including Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea and the Middle East, according to the manager.

During the fair, Shule has showcased its new products designed for young people including chopping and baking tools, the manager said.

“The online fair creates an efficient platform for promoting communication between exhibitors and buyers.

“On the platform we are meeting many potential clients from countries such as Germany and Italy, which brings us confidence in our sales for next year,” the manager said.

In addition, stationery makers are also being highlighted at the fair.

Jiangsu Xingda Stationery Group is demonstrating a variety of new products such as a quick-drying crayon.

The company said the crayon is developed based on eco-friendly material, and has been welcomed in markets in European and the US.

This year, Xingda has cooperated with Shanghai M&G Stationery to expand the domestic market by developing more new products, according to the company.
