Intl buyers attracted to 128th CIEF

The 128th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, has attracted overseas buyers from more than 210 countries and regions to launch their businesses online.

This year’s Canton Fair has made great efforts to invite global companies in a large-scale coverage through innovative means.

Fair organizers launched multi-dimensional data analyses, including a classification of 500,000 buyers who have participated in the fair before. The organizers sent the buyers emails with innovative title designs and personalized content production.

It helps to increase mail delivery and opening rates while attract more regular buyers to visit the exhibition.

To invite more high-quality new buyers to participate in the fair, organizers launched new media marketing events on six famous social media platforms worldwide as well as five search engines and PR Newswire.

To date, the China Foreign Trade Center has set up partnerships with 134 industry and commerce institutions in 76 countries and regions, including 56 institutions from 36 countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Thirty-five online promotional events and some signing ceremonies are scheduled to be held during this year’s fair, organizers said.

The regional trading delegations have also organized their exhibitors to invite buyers and encouraged regular buyers to invite new buyers.

The fair has also invited important trade groups from the United States and the countries of the European Union as well as those involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, with the help of foreign consulates in Guangzhou and business institutions of Chinese consulates abroad.

Canton Fair organizers have also built online communication platforms to connect with France, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, Tanzania and other countries.
