Livestreams help firms earn global businesses

The 127th China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair, is in full swing, with its online exhibitions scheduled to last for 10 days, allowing a raft of foreign trade companies to livestream their products to global customers and secure orders and cooperation opportunities worldwide.

"After a two-hour livestream, we received nearly 10 inquiries from overseas, and five of them have the intention to place an order," said Yang Wenyong, general manager of Zhejiang Xingxing Refrigeration.

Pei Jun, the Asia regional director with the company, serves as a host of the livestream and promoted more than 50 new products of the company, of which 10 are antibacterial products launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are about to launch 150 livestreaming events, hoping to secure orders for August to October shipments and help to stabilize foreign trade in the second half of this year," Yang said.

Jiangsu Yunru Technology Industrial is a building material manufacturer with more than 15 years of industry experience, specializing in production and sales of cabinets.

During the first two days of the 127th Canton Fair on Jun 15-16, the company arranged 14 livestreaming promotions, attracting more than 500 viewers and reaching a transaction volume of $200,000.

To improve customers' experience, Yunru Technology displayed a video produced with virtual reality technology, which helps buyers better understand its products and production processes in detail.

Wenzhou Maya Aspire is a foreign trade company in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province. In response to the spread of the virus, the company has developed an automatic soap dispenser, which can discharge foam within 0.2 seconds without contact.

With CE certification being obtained, the automatic soap dispenser has lured both domestic and overseas buyers. To date, the company has received more than 30 online inquiries.
