CFTC Working Group Promotes Canton Fair in Poland

From Sept 16-18, China Foreign Trade Centre working group promoted Canton Fair in Warsaw Poland through organizing promotion conference, meeting with governmental departments, commercial and industrial organizations and exhibition centres.

The working group held the promotion conference successfully in Warsaw. Xu Xiaofeng, Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Poland, Jacek Boczek, Vice President of Polish Chinese Business Council, Adam Brozek, Associate Director of Markets & Business Development attended the conference and delivered speeches. Over 50 Polish entrepreneurs and media representatives attended the conference.

Canton Fair promotion conference in Warsaw

Li Jinqi, Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre delivered the keynote speech at the conference. He pointed out that Canton Fair possesses many advantages, including the complete product category, large scale, detailed classification. He also said that the Fair is a high-quality, high-efficient, safe, reliable and specialized global trade platform. As an important country along the route “Belt and Road”, it enjoys wide prospects of economic and trade cooperation with China. Through such a comprehensive and international platform, Polish buyers can not only explore Chinese markets but also go global.

At the conference, Xu said that China and Poland are the significant participants in the global multilateral trade system and are also the firm supporters of it. Under the “Belt and Road” and “17 plus 1” framework, the bilateral trade has kept a good momentum for stable growth. Under the concerted efforts of the two countries, Canton Fair will continue to strengthen the roles as a bridge and platform to further bring the bilateral economic and trade cooperation into full play.

Mr. Boczek Warmly welcomed the working group. He said that Chinese market is of great importance to Polish enterprises. Buyers and exhibitors are from all walks of life and are high-quality. Therefore, Polish enterprises should seize chances to promote the development of bilateral trade investment to a new height through participating in Canton Fair.

The working group met with Mr. Adam Struzik, Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship and introduced him about Canton Fair, China Foreign Trade Centre and the basic situation of the exhibiting operation. The working group extended thanks to      Mr. Adam Struzik for taking full advantage of Canton Fair to actively facilitate the cooperation between the companies of both two countries. Mr Struzik gave the working group a warm reception and spoke highly of Canton Fair. He said that Canton Fair is an influential global platform for trade promotion. He also highly praised the mutual beneficial cooperation between China Foreign Trade Centre and the local exhibition organizations. He emphasized that he will keep paying attention to the development of Canton Fair, fully support the promotion, exchanges and cooperation held by China Foreign Trade Centre in Mazowieckie Voivodeship. He believed that the close cooperation among the exhibition organizers will strongly drive the economic and trade exchanges between the two countries.

The working group visited PTAK Warsaw Expo and inspected the facilities in the exhibition hall. Moreover, the group discussed with Mr. Tomasz Szypula, C.E.O of  PTAK Warsaw Expo about the current situation of European exhibition industry, operating and management of exhibition hall and intellectualization construction and reached a consensus in terms of expanding and deepening cooperation next step.

During the visit to Poland, the working group held a meeting with Polish-Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Polish Chinese Business Council and other industrial and commercial organizations and conducted deep exchanges centering Internet promotion, trade connection and delegation organization to the Fair.

The group met with Mr. Liu Guangyuan, China’s ambassador to Poland and introduced him the latest situation of the 126th Canton Fair. Mr. Liu spoke highly of the significant role played by Canton Fair in advancing China-Poland bilateral economic and trade exchanges. He also said that he will keep supporting the promotion about Canton Fair to continuously expand its influence in Poland.
