From Sept 21-23, China Foreign Trade Centre working group promoted Canton Fair
in Tel Aviv Israel through meeting with chambers of commerce, industrial organizations, exhibition centers and Canton Fair buyers and holding panel discussion.

At the panel discussion, Li Jinqi, Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre, introduced the latest features of the 126th Canton Fair to the loyal buyers and listened to their suggestions and advice on organizations, arrangements and on-site services face to face. The loyal buyers said that the the visit paid by the Director General had demonstrated the emphasis put on customer’s needs and values. Moreover, they actively gave advice on how to give better play to the role of Canton Fair as the platform for trade promotion. Li valued the importance of listening to customers’ voices and pointed out that the precious suggestions put forward by the loyal buyers will be positively considered and adopted. Zhang Xingfu, Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Israel attended the discussion.

Director General Li Jinqi met with the person in charge of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce, one of the Canton Fair cooperation partners. Li pointed out that Israel is a critical cooperation partner in “Belt and Road” Initiative. With the leading high-tech industries around the world, Israel is the source for high-quality customers at Canton Fair. He encouraged the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce to take full advantage of Canton Fair to enter Chinese markets and go global. Ze’ev Lavie, the person in charge of Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce warmly welcomed the working group. He said that the economies in both Israel and China have strong complementarity. The Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce attaches great importance to the precious opportunities in Chinese markets. In the future, they will organize delegations to participate in Canton Fair, deepen cooperation with the Fair in information exchanges and promote more Israeli enterprises to attend the Fair.

The working group inspected the Expo Tel Aviv and had in-depth exchanges with the person in charge of the Expo on the development trend of the exhibition industry, venue operation, green exhibition organization, intellectualized construction.

During the visit, the working group also met with Israeli buyers: the Peamit, a well-known Israeli plastic products sale company, and Reem Sport, Israel's third-largest sporting goods import company. The working group visited the product showroom and logistics distribution centre of the two companies and got a specific understanding about the operation and purchasing situation. Moreover, the working group listened to some suggestions and advice on exhibition organization, product quality, services and information construction. The person in charge of Peamit said that the explosive growth of the company's business in recent years is attributed to the large number of high-quality Chinese suppliers at Canton Fair. The company attaches great importance to the role of Canton Fair as a trade bridge and hopes to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with Chinese companies and make common progress. The person in charge of Reem Sport has attended Canton Fair for more than 10 years. He said that Canton Fair is a comprehensive and specialized platform, and buyers can quickly find the products they want. It is the most high-quality and efficient international exhibition. He will actively recommend Canton Fair to friends in Israeli business circle.
