At the Press Conference for the opening of the 123rd session of Canton Fair held on the Apr 14th., Mr. Xu Bing, spokesperson of the Canton Fair, Deputy Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre, introduced the relevant situation of International Pavilion at the Canton Fair.

Xu introduced that since the establishment of the International Pavilion in the 101st session, there are almost 10,000 exhibiting enterprises from over 100 countries and regions, greatly facilitating China’s import from these areas. The International Pavilion in this session remains to be set up in Phase 1 and Phase 3, with an area of 20,000 square meters. There will be 617 enterprises from 34 countries and regions and 992 booths altogether. 12 national and regional delegations will be organized from countries and regions like Germany, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Egypt, Turkey, Ukraine, Thailand, India, Nepal, Macao, and Taiwan.

Enterprises from Belt and Road countries are the main participants of the International Pavilion. In the International Pavilion this session, 382 enterprises and 626 booths are from 21 Belt and Road countries, accounting for 62% and 63% of the total in the International Pavilion, covering all six product zones, including the Section of Electronics & Household Electrical Appliances, Building Materials & Hardware, and Machinery in Phase 1 and the Section of Food & Beverage, Household Items, and Textile & Garments in Phase 3. Among them, 6 countries including Ukraine, Egypt, Turkey, India, Thailand and Nepal will participate in the fair by organizing national delegations.

More diversified exhibition topics. Catering to the needs of the Chinese market, we continue to set up the Baby Product Section this session and invite famous enterprises from Germany, Korea etc. to bring about baby food and products that are of good quality and appealing design. The comprehensive health industry cluster of International Daily Chemicals is first introduced this session to attract high-end organic daily chemical product brands from countries like the U.S., France, Germany, Korea and Thailand to participate in the fair.

More Representative Exhibiting Enterprises. Internationally renowned industry leading enterprises remain committed. A  series of leading enterprises are attracted to attend the fair, including the technology and manufacturing industry leader—Caterpillar, the well-known British LED brand—Stanely, Germany's second-largest daily chemical products retail chain brand—ROSSMANN, the Israeli laser measuring instrument technology innovation pioneer —KAPRO, and Japanese pump leader—Tsurumi Corporation. Many world-class industry clusters also actively attend the fair. Among them, there are smart household electrical appliances from Korea, high-end kitchenware from Turkey, natural organic daily chemical products from Thailand, etc.  This session also witnesses participants of new companies, which include the famous German sparkling water brand Gerolsteiner, French high-end natural aromatherapy brand La Chatelard, etc.

Wonderful activities. A series of activities will be organized around the “Belt and Road” Initiative and the current hot spot of the import market to provide a “one-stop” matchmaking platform for international exhibitors and domestic buyers, so as to help both sides fully understand the policy benefits and offer a one-stop matchmaking scheme to source quality overseas goods.
