The 133rd Canton Fair Promotes Green Exhibition

At the press briefing of the 133rd Canton Fair on April 13, Mr. Xu Bing, Spokesperson of the Canton Fair, Deputy Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre, introduced the overall promotion of green exhibition in this session.
According to Xu, the 133r d Canton Fair serves the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality by taking multiple measures to organizea green, low-carbon and sustainable exhibition.
Encourage green and low-carbon exhibits
500,000 green and low-carbon products will be displayed to help China's smart, green and low-carbon manufacturingto go global.
Promote green development of the whole industry chain
The Canton Fair has improved green exhibition move-in, guided enterprises to use professional materials, strengthened the examination and verification of booth drawings, enhanced solid waste management of exhibition move-out, and consolidated the outcomes of green development. The Fair has carried out green booth selection and encourage low-carbon move-in. By advocating green exhibition, green convention, green transportation and green catering, the exhibition has implemented the green development concept throughout the entire process.
Accelerate the application of green standards
The Canton Fair has carried out the promotion and implementation of the three national standards compiled by China Foreign Trade Centre --Green Booth Evaluation Guide, Basic Requirements for Safety Management of Exhibition Venues and Green Exhibition Operation Guide. The Fair will speed up the practice of these standards to promote the green development of the exhibition industry.
