Jiang Zhenwu, general manager of Shanghai Baoyu Shoes, a foreign trade enterprise engaged in the sale of footwear products, said the Canton Fair has played a crucial role in the development of the company.
Founded in 2005, Shanghai Baoyu is a sample enterprise of China's foreign trade. At present, its annual export volume is more than $10 million, with its affiliated companies' exports exceeding $30 million.
First attending the Canton Fair for the first time in October 1994, Jiang has since participated in a total of 50 sessions of the Canton Fair in 26 years.
"From being a newcomer to a corporate leader, the Canton Fair has accompanied my entire career," he said.
In 2008, Jiang hosted his own booth at the Canton Fair to showcase Shanghai Baoyu's latest products. Since then, the company has been on a fast track of development.
After years of participating in the exhibition, Jiang knows the importance of brand building. In 2018, the brand booth at the Canton Fair selected Baoyu which greatly contributed to the promotion and sales of its own brands. Jiang has witnessed the changes at the Canton Fair over the years and fully understands its importance. "I will not be absent from the Canton Fair. I and the Canton Fair have been blended together and cannot be separated."
He is confident that the 127th Canton Fair will be a new opportunity for enterprises. "In view of the current online mode of the B2B platform, the Canton Fair remains special and attractive. Those of us who are fortunate enough to participate in the online Canton Fair will surely make history and witness glory with it," Jiang said.
