At the press briefing of the 133rd Canton Fair on April 13, Mr. Xu Bing, Spokesperson of the Canton Fair, Deputy Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre, introduced the building of a solid security barrier and enhancement of booth management in this session.

Xu noted that the 133rd Canton Fair attaches importance to building a solid security barrier. The Canton Fair will comprehensively strengthen the safety work in key areas such as network operation, equipment use, booth dismantling and setup, water and electricity utilization, fire and explosion prevention, food safety, traffic guidance, epidemic prevention and control to ensure the stable operation of the Fair.

Xu also stressed that for the exhibition organization, the 133rd Canton Fair will fully strengthen booth management. Qualifications for exhibitors, regulations on booth and exhibits management in the National Pavilion, and standards of booth rate have been announced on the official website of Canton Fair. The Fair will strive to crack down on illegal transfer and sublease of booths through inspection and supervision such as booth management accountability, real-name registration system, reporting incentives and on-site inspections. Exhibitors who use booths illegally will be disqualified for participation, the booth number of their trading delegations will be deducted or other treatments adopted as appropriate. Therefore, the Fair seriously call on all the enterprises to apply for booths by official channels of the Canton Fair, and increase vigilance against deception. Exhibitors that have acquired their booths shall use booths strictly in accordance with the regulations. Transfer or sublease is prohibited.
