At different livestreaming shows, the ongoing 128th China Import and Export Fair online is seeing new arrivals of intelligent household appliances.

At the livestreaming show of manufacturer Glanz, the company released more than 100 intelligent appliances including a second-generation smart refrigerator and voice-controlled microwave oven.

The company said parts of these products have been developed based on Glanz’s first proprietary chip.

“Companies should own self-developed core technologies in major areas to maintain their competitiveness in a new era,” said Liang Huiqiang, vice-chairman of Glanz.

Information industrialization and manufacturing intelligence are important trends of China’s industrial development in the future, Liang said.

Glanz is striving to build a “industry 4.0” base — its new industrial base designed for these trends — for smart household appliances. It is also trying to help establish an environment for open-source chip development, in an effort to empower China’s manufacturing industry, according to Liang.

Guangdong-based Chigo Air-Conditioning Co, another exhibitor at the 128th Canton Fair, released new air conditioners at its livestreaming show.

These products were developed on its cutting-edge technologies in energy conservation, artificial intelligence and power efficiency, according to the company.

In addition, Chigo also showcased new products that can be easily installed or controlled remotely, attracting buyers from Europe and Central Asia.

In the company’s livestream, an air conditioner with voice control is a highlight.

This air conditioner was developed based on Chigo’s self-owned voice control technology, which can perform accurate voice recognition, a manager of the company said.

Its compressor can help improve the efficiency and stability of air conditioners and realize rapid cooling in 30 seconds, the manager said.

“In the post-pandemic era, Chigo attaches more importance to health,” the manager said.
