Fair promotes dual circulation pattern

A promotional event centering on China’s dual circulation development model of domestic and international trade was held on Oct 16 during the 128th China Import and Export Fair in Guangzhou, Guangdong province. 

The event served as a key platform for export-oriented trade companies to explore the booming domestic market.

Organized by the China Foreign Trade Centre and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, the event combined both online and offline models, covering a launch ceremony, information release, and supply and procurement docking. 

It attracted more than 40 exhibitors and 100 purchasing groups such as supermarkets, independent stores, business chains and cross-border e-commerce associations. It is a vital part of the Canton Fair’s initiative to promote the new dual circulation development model and the docking of domestic and foreign trade.

Wen Zhongliang, deputy secretary-general of the Canton Fair and deputy director of the China Foreign Trade Centre, said boosting the economic development pattern of dual circulation is an inevitable choice for the country’s modernization and the Canton Fair is an important platform for implementing the national development plan. 

After 63 years of development, the event has become a world-class exhibition with high-quality suppliers, Wen said.

“Exhibitors have accumulated competitive advantages in manufacturing, supply management, product quality, and market awareness through many years of participation in the outer circulation and international competition. 

“While continuing to participate in the outer circulation, they are also constantly expanding the breadth and depth of participation in the inner circulation,” Wen added.

Ren Shao, deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, said that the department will strengthen in-depth cooperation with the Canton Fair, give full play to the advantages of both parties, promote the dual cycles of international and domestic trade, and support more Guangdong enterprises to expand the domestic market. Attendees can examine the cloud displays of the Canton Fair and the large number of high-quality exports available for domestic sales via clicking the “domestic sale” tab. High-quality Canton Fair exhibitors met and negotiated with purchasing leaders from companies such as Suning, China Resources Vanguard, Guangzhou Grandbuy, Guangzhou Friendship to discuss business opportunities in the domestic market.
