With the burgeoning development in intelligent manufacturing of South China's Guangdong province, progress in the intelligent industry of local companies have been highlighted during the ongoing China Import and Export Fair.

One shining example is electrical appliances manufacturer Midea Group, which has brought new technologies and products to the fair.

For the event this year, Midea brings a range of products including an automatic air fryer, an air conditioner that can be easily equipped by users and a mini-refrigerator.

To fully demonstrate these new products, the appliance maker commissioned all of its marketing teams for the overseas market launch to take part in more than 10 live streams per day during the fair. The teams have also conducted tailor-made live streams targeted at different overseas markets, the company said.

Wang Jianguo, vice-president of Midea, said the online exhibition requires technical support to turn products into a type of digital resource, and then display them via video and pictures to buyers.

Wang used washing machines as an example of how the online demonstration can fully tell customers the product's details, including its roller, flow and state during the operation of machines.

Apart from the online demonstration, the company also focused on organizing related promotions, as part of the effort to develop its digital market.

The company said began its digital transformation in 2012 with an investment of more than 10 billion yuan so far. It has been able to conduct online operations and digital management of all businesses.
