During the ongoing Canton Fair, livestreaming is a highlight among traders.

“Our company built a room for livestreaming in March to promote our products to clients online,” said Huang Yulin, an executive of Hualian Porcelain Industry in Hunan province.

The company has launched different types of livestream events, Huang said, aiming to “recommend new products to targeted clients overseas.”

Fulin Timber Industry in Yichun, Heilongjiang province, said it has prepared a range of patented products at its 3D exhibition hall for the fair.

“We set up a space for livestreaming in our factory, which lets international purchasers know more about our production conditions,” said Zhang Fulin, general manager of the company.

Yan Chunjie, an executive of Puppy Electric Appliances in Beijing, said his company assessed the effects of the fair before building a livestreaming studio, in a bid to manage its budget for the sector.

The company completed its studio under the guidance of an expert team from e-commerce platform Taobao, Yan said.

“We were debugging the livestreaming equipment to ensure cameras and microphones were all set to their best,” Yan said. He added that they had finished all of the prepared work by June 13.
