High quality foreign trade growth stressed

Greater efforts should be made to push forward China's high quality foreign trade, said Ren Hongbin, Vice President of Canton Fair and Assistant Minister of Commerce.

In Ren's October 14th speech at the Leadership Council of the 126th Canton Fair, he said that China's foreign trade achieved stable development during the first three quarters of this year. However, the economy also faces many challenges. The international trade environment is becoming more complex and severe, while comprehensive costs are rising and capacity transfer is accelerating in domestic market, said Ren.

Ren added that the Canton Fair Organizing Committee is devoted to improving services and creating a first-class exhibition environment during the coming session. The trade fair will provide sufficient information on policies, markets and industries for enterprises, and make every effort to help enterprises conclude transactions, said Ren.

Lin Ji, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangdong Provincial Government, delivered a speech on behalf of the Guangdong Provincial Government where he said that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC, and the successful holding of the 126th Canton Fair is of great significance for promoting steady growth in foreign trade and guiding enterprises to speed up the cultivation of new competitive advantages in foreign trade. Lin added that Guangdong will spare no effort to promote the stability and quality of China's foreign trade.
