“The Canton Fair is a ‘melting pot’. Buyers from all over the world bring needs of cutting-edge technology, which constantly drives enterprises to carry out technological innovation and improve market competitiveness,” said Wu Manhuai, Chairman of Gacia Electrical Appliance Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as “Gacia”), at the 125th Canton Fair.

“In the past, we designed products based on the performance of low-voltage electrical appliances, but at the Canton Fair, we saw many demands for smart appliances and smart grids.” Said Wu, “By observing industry trends at the Canton Fair, we have learned to set directions for product development in advance and invest in increasing product value to meet the expectations of consumers. Besides, it is important to plan our development and win priorities for market operation.”

Due to factors like fierce price competition and the gradual disappearance of demographic dividend, the market share of traditional products has gradually declined. Innovation is an important open sesame for enterprises to explore the international market and stand out in the industry. In addition to investing in research, Gacia also established a joint technology research institute in cooperation with Zhejiang University, become a strategic partner with Shanghai Electrical Apparatus Research Institute, and worked closely with many universities and research establishments to explore the R&D and application of low-voltage electrical appliances in the era of Internet of Things.

According to Wu, in the past, Gacia only engaged in OEM production. However, with the rapid development of China’s manufacturing industry, the company has accelerated the transformation from selling products to equipment and technology output, and built its own brands with innovation as the core to realize the upgrading to intelligent manufacturing.

In terms of overseas business, Gacia has extended its overseas business by setting up factories to transfer low-end technology industries, working with state-owned enterprises to undertake international business, and exploring technological innovations with foreign R&D institutions. It is embracing global trade with a positive attitude.

Garcia has registered trademarks in more than 110 countries and regions, and has brand agency in more than 30 countries and regions.
