The China Import and Export Fair (also known as the Canton Fair) is established in spring 1957. It’s co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province. Held in Guangzhou China every spring and autumn, the Canton Fair has a history of over 50 years and has witnessed both the history of China’s international trade and the country’s exchange with world across aspect of politics, economies and cultures.
Trust and support from tens of thousands of trade visitors lay the foundation of the Canton Fair’s business core, and it’s the vision of offering best service to customers that motivates us in growing. With strong connection with the Chinese government, we put our customers first and take serving professional traders as our mission. We have come through over five decades in business and become a comprehensive international trade show that has the longest history, the largest scale, the most complete exhibit variety, the broadest distribution of buyers, the biggest buyer attendance, and the greatest business turnover in China. The Canton Fair is the key trade bridge and platform that promotes world trade development. It’s renowned as “China’s No.1 Fair”.
The year 2009 was a time when the world financial crisis kept spreading. The Chinese government promptly and resolutely adopted a stimulus package for steady and fast economics policy, and successfully archived the goal of “sustaining economic growth, ensuring people's well-being and maintaining stability”. The Canton Fair also managed to go forward steadily in this difficult time. During the 105th and 106th session the Canton Fair’s total export volume reached 56.7 billion USD, and its international attending buyers had also gained a recovery increase.
At this critical age of changing international economic situation, the Canton Fair met its new expanding opportunity. The coming Canton Fair is warmly welcome by exhibitors and buyers from home and abroad. We will continue to dedicate ourselves to innovating and adjusting our development mode. We will also go further to optimize the exhibition structure, including exhibitors and exhibits, and do more to enhance buyer invitation, exhibitor recruitment and marketing the event in a fine-tuned way.
